Golf – and extreme frustration

It has been observed, particularly by nongolfers, that it is surprising so many people are so enthusiastic about that sport – since there are so many potential frustrations lurking on the way to what every golfer hopes will be a low score.

But the clumsiest duffers surely can sympathize with (and perhaps take comfort from) what Kevin Na experienced as he played in the Texas Open at San Antonio one day this week.

Did something go wrong?

The more appropriate question is whether anything went right.

It was reported that Na got so disoriented that he really wasn’t sure exactly how poorly he fared on the No. 9 hole.
