Authorities in Grundy County, Tenn., are looking for a woman they want to question in connection with recent thefts from graves at Clouse Hill Cemetery.

Misty Melton-Jackson, 37, fled Tuesday on a green ATV from Grundy County deputies when they attempted to interview her about the thefts, according to a statement posted on the Grundy County Sheriff’s Department’s Facebook page.

Clouse Hill Cemetery, just north of the Tracy City town limits, is in a relatively remote area on Clouse Hill Road where there are no homes in sight. It has been the target of recent thefts, officials said.

Grundy has issued a be-on-the-lookout notice for Melton-Jackson’s whereabouts.

Melton-Jackson was last seen wearing a bright orange tank top with a purple bandana on her head, Grundy County authorities said. Melton-Jackson is 5 feet 1 inch tall and weighs approximately 145 pounds.

“Additionally, she has cut and dyed her hair,” officials said.

Anyone having contact with Melton-Jackson or information on her whereabouts is asked to contact the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office at 931-692-3466 extension 7. Calls will be kept confidential, officials said.
