Your Friday at a glance:

  • Weather: High of 66 but with clouds and spotty showers.
  • What to drink: Some Miracle drinks. Yes, you read that right.
  • What to eat part 1: Barque. Pronounced like “tree bark,” but we promise it’s not that.
  • What to eat part 2: I’m feeling hungry, so let’s do this twice: Cheddar’s is expanding into Cleveland.

Good morning, Chattanooga!

How ’bout yesterday’s trivia? Here it is again: According to the National Christmas Tree Association, each year, 25 million to 30 million trees are sold in the United States.

Working on a Christmas tree farm is a yearlong job, but the best part comes towards the end of the calendar, according to Chattanooga area growers.

“The best part is the families you get to meet,” says Jeremy Maanum of Santa Land Christmas Tree Farm in LaFayette, Georgia. “We get to see families that used to be little kids running around, and now they’ve got their own little kids running around. That’s why we stay in it.”
