Because of Jeff Holcomb’s stance concerning transgender people in public bathrooms and Muslims in America, a former state representative candidate is supporting Holcomb’s opponent.
Jeremy Jones, who finished third in a race for the Georgia House District 3 seat during the May 24 Republican primary, said some of Holcomb’s political stances are troubling. He encouraged voters to back Holcomb’s opponent, Dewayne Hill.
“As a legislature,” Jones said, “you have to go beyond the knee-jerk reactions.”
Holcomb wants politicians to create laws that would ban Muslims from America and restrict transgender people from using bathrooms consistent with their gender identity. Jones said both stances are signs of government overreach.
