Two female victims were found dead in a Whitfield County, Georgia, home Thursday morning, the sheriff’s office says.
Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrived at a home in the 200 block of Tanglewood Drive after Michael Brandon Townsend called 911, according to a news release.
The preliminary investigation indicates the victims sustained blunt force trauma injuries to their faces and suspected stab wounds to their body, the news release states.
It’s not clear how old each victim was.
Townsend has been named a suspect and was taken into custody at the scene. he is currently cooperating with sheriff’s office investigators.
