A Calhoun, Ga., man charged with aggravated child molestation is jailed in Gordon County, authorities said.
The alleged victim was taken to the Calhoun Police Department, and family members told police the child had been sexually abused by 53-year-old Robert Lee White for several years, police Chief Garry Moss said in a news release.
Calhoun detectives investigated the allegations, and White was taken into custody at a house on Highway 53 in Calhoun, Moss said. After he was arrested, evidence was discovered that matched the statements of the alleged victim’s statements, the chief said.
White is being held in the Gordon County Jail, according to the statement.
