Emergency responders called to a Crabtree Road address in Hamilton County today found a man dead in a burning pile of debris.
Operators with 911 received a call for assistance at 1603 Crabtree Road about 10 minutes after 11 a.m. today, Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Janice Atkinson said in a news release.
The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office and Dallas Bay Volunteer Fire Department responded, and when they arrived the caller told them her husband had been in the back yard burning debris. When she went outside to check on him, she found him in the fire, she told responders.
Dallas Bay Volunteer Fire personnel pronounced the man dead, and his body was taken to the Hamilton County Forensic Center.
No further information will be released pending notification of relatives and the autopsy report from the medical examiner, Ms. Atkinson said.
