A fugitive from Texas was arrested Monday after a Fort Oglethorpe policeman stopped him for speeding and found out he faced child molestation charges in another state.

Jerry Mack Culver, 50, who lives in Chickamauga, Ga., and works at J&J Industries in Dalton, Ga., was driving along Cloud Springs Road when an officer pulled him over, according to an incident report.

When the officer ran Culver’s license, he discovered that Culver had a warrant from Brazoria County, Texas, the report said.

Culver is awaiting extradition to Texas, records show.
