A Jackson County, Alabama, man was arrested Saturday and charged in connection with the rape of a 12-year-old girl, according to a news release from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.
Stephen Fredrick Ott, 50, of Bryant, was charged after an investigation by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division and patrol deputies.
They were assisted by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency and the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division Internet Crimes Against Children task forces.
Ott is charged with rape, first degree; sodomy, second degree; and 32 counts of production of pornography with minors.
The investigation is continuing. Ott is being held in the Jackson County Jail. No bond had been set as of midday Monday.
