KNOXVILLE – Tennessee picked up its 13th commitment for the 2020 recruiting cycle Thursday when mammoth offensive lineman James Robinson gave a nonbinding pledge to the program.
The 6-foot-4, 323-pound Robinson is a three-star prospect in the 247Sports.com composite rankings, which also factors in the rankings of Rivals.com and ESPN. He had offers from 27 other schools, including Southeastern Conference programs Auburn, Missouri, Ole Miss, Mississippi State and Texas A&M. Virginia Tech, Nebraska, Illinois and Georgia Tech were also among his suitors.
Robinson is the third offensive lineman to commit to the Vols for next year, joining four-star prospect Cooper Mays and three-star Javontez Spraggins as the Tennessee coaching staff continues to overhaul and add depth to the unit.
