DEAR ABBY: Why do I feel the need to be in a relationship, but when I'm in one, I feel trapped, bored, disappointed and lonely? I'm a divorced single mom, co-parenting a child with my ex. We have been divorced for 15 years. My child is graduating from college this year.
DEAR ABBY: I'm struggling with something that feels both silly and painful. I've developed intense feelings (maybe even "limerence") for a man I know, and no matter how hard I try, no one else seems to compare. I have tried dating apps, looking at younger guys, older guys, conventionally attractive guys. Nothing clicks. I keep thinking, why can't I just lower my standards? Or, why can't I find others attractive when I know logically this person isn't the only man on Earth?
DEAR ABBY: I began experiencing migraines occasionally as a teenager, but in my early 20s, they became a regular occurrence. I tried unsuccessfully for years to identify my triggers, cutting things from my diet and environment before realizing about a year ago that I'm triggered by smoke.
DEAR ABBY: I found out that, behind my back, my best friend has been (secretly) growing hair for the past year.
DEAR ABBY: We have an annual weekend family reunion that includes family and significant others along with their children.
DEAR ABBY: I see a psychiatrist and psychologist for generalized anxiety disorder, major depression disorder and borderline personality disorder.
DEAR ABBY: A few years ago, my daughter went "no contact" with both sides of our family — grandparents, parents, aunts and uncles, as well as cousins.
DEAR ABBY: My brother-in-law thinks he is good with his hands. He built a deck on the back of his house, and it's obvious that he's not a professional.
DEAR ABBY: I am concerned about my daughter.
DEAR ABBY: My son is a sophomore in college. He has been dating a girl he met at school for almost a year. Her family no longer speaks to her for reasons I don't know.
