All you can eat in the Scenic City, A-Z
Whether you live in Chattanooga or visit, it's hard to resist the pull of the Tennessee River as it winds through this small city. You can stroll along it, go for a run on its banks, paddle it or jump in and swim.

The Tennessee River (including Chickamauga Lake) is a sight for sore eyes and hungry bellies. With a plethora of dine-in restaurants along its banks, the river offers a range of options for eating and drinking. From fine-dining restaurants to casual sit-down spots, there are endless possibilities for food and views: There are restaurants with boat docks, and eateries with riverfront patios. There are places for a fancy dinner with a view or just a cocktail after kayaking.

Chattanooga's Tennessee River isn't just a landmark — it's the living, breathing heart of the city. Once a busy industrial artery, the river has transformed into a hub of recreation, connection and pride.

Dam Meat Sandwich. Blow Me Down Dam BBQ. Hiwassee Dam Burger. Paradise Dam Pastrami Reuben and Heifer Pen Dam Burger Wrap. The possibilities of names for menu items are endless if you own a restaurant by a dam and the water.

Water. We drink it. We're made up of it. We wash our car with it. We keep fish in it. We use it to make mac n' cheese. It fills our snow globes. It's in our whiskey.
