All you can eat in the Scenic City, A-Z
While most people would probably choose to stay inside on a cold, rainy December morning, over 30 participants at the Ice Buddies kickoff event at MainX24, Chattanooga's 24-hour celebration of Main Street and the surrounding Southside neighborhood, gleefully chose to change into bathing suits and hop into tubs of ice water with total strangers.

Although he owns a primo home stereo system, Thomas Lee doesn't consider himself an audiophile. After all, he bought his first stereo system out of a JCPenney catalog.

Physicians and their family and friends came together for the Hamilton County Medical Society and Foundation's annual fundraiser. The event supports Project Access, a program that connects uninsured residents of Hamilton County with hospital care and other medical services. Guests enjoyed great food, beverages, a live DJ, a sports lounge and a silent auction.

The Hixson-based childhood cancer nonprofit, Emily's Power for a Cure, held their 12th annual fundraiser at The Signal. The event featured a BBQ dinner, music and dancing, silent and live auctions, mechanical bull riding, a photo booth and much more. Over $100,000 was raised in support of families whose children are fighting neuroblastoma, a type of childhood cancer of the adrenal glands.

Every year, the Down Syndrome Community of Greater Chattanooga (DSCGC) hosts the Chattanooga Buddy Walk around the month of October, which is Down Syndrome Awareness Month. This event is DSCGC's biggest fundraiser and brings families and loved ones together for a fun afternoon of celebrating the lives of individuals with Down syndrome. This year, the event was hosted at the First Horizon Pavilion. Funds raised surpassed $50k, and over 1,000 people were registered, making it the best year to date.

Living in Chattanooga encourages creative expression, which can be achieved in many different ways. For many people, that involves hanging a colorful painting or a photograph of a favorite person or place on their walls. Artwork can accent your decor, create a space unique to you and really change the atmosphere of a room. But for people who aren't confident about what looks good where — or hanging next to what — deciding which artwork to put up can be daunting.
