ATLANTA – Republican Eric Johnson is unveiling a television ad, the first in the hotly contested Georgia governor’s race.
Johnson will unveil the spot, which touts his conservative credentials, on Tuesday.
The former president pro tempore of the state Senate is among seven Republicans running to replace Georgia Gov. Sonny Perdue when his second term expires. They’ll face off in a July 20 primary.
Johnson has raked in $1.7 million for the contest but has struggled to gain a foothold outside his base in coastal Georgia.
