A man was arrested today in connection with numerous vehicle burglaries in the Hixson, Dallas Bay and Soddy-Daisy areas, according to the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office.
Johnny Clayton Jenkins, 35, was charged with burglary of an auto, theft, vandalism and fraudulent use of a credit card, said Janice Atkinson, sheriff’s office spokeswoman.
In the crimes, someone entered parking lots and broke out the windows of vehicles in which the owners left expensive items such as electronics and purses in full view, she said.
The investigation is ongoing and additional charges are pending against Mr. Jenkins, she said.
