Night Out on the North Shore

Shops on the North Shore will stay open late Thursday with a variety of special offers, food, fun and games to benefit a good cause.

Ten percent of all proceeds from sales and events between 5 and 8 p.m. go to the Northside Neighborhood House, an 86-year-old service organization that provides educational programs and assistance to people in need living north of the river.

“All of us in the NorthShore Merchants Collective are committed to preserving and promoting the unique nature and eclectic personality of our neighborhood,” said David Smotherman, NSMC president. “We want to share that personality in a fun way through Night Out on the North Shore and, at the same time, benefit the organization dedicated to serving people in this area.”

Parking is available throughout the district. Many businesses provide free patron parking in private lots. Hourly parking is available on the street, and there is no charge for the meters after 6 p.m. Parking is available in lots at Renaissance Park and Chattanooga Theatre Centre for $1 for two hours, $2 for four hours and $4 for all day (no charge at the CTC lot for patrons attending an event at the theater).

Some merchants will extend discounts and promotions through the weekend.
