Devious attack on ‘tea partiers’

The conservative “tea party” movement must be making some headway, because the group has come under intense attack from opponents. Its liberal critics wouldn’t pay the tea party any attention if they didn’t think its message had gained traction with the American people.

“Tea partiers” have been accused, probably falsely, of hurling racial epithets at black Democrat members of Congress in Washington around the time of the narrow vote for ObamaCare socialized medicine. The alleged epithets supposedly came during protests heavily covered by the news media, and with many individuals filming the events. But if such disgusting comments had been shouted, as is claimed, it is just not plausible that no one would have been able to capture video or audio of them. In fact, Democrat Rep. Heath Shuler of North Carolina says he was with the congressmen at the time in question and heard no racial epithets.

Worse yet, a liberal organization freely admits its members are infiltrating the tea party and planning to pose as tea partiers so they can make outrageous public statements that will make the movement “appear to be racist, homophobic and moronic,” The Associated Press reported. The goal is to get lots of media coverage of ridiculous or bigoted comments, which can then be falsely blamed on the tea party as a way to destroy its message that Washington is spending our nation toward an economic cliff.

But that is the very message Washington needs to hear!

It is shameful that grossly dishonest tactics would be used to destroy a patriotic movement.
