Some area residents as far south as Tunnel Hill, Ga., told the U.S. Geological Survey they felt Tuesday’s earthquake.
The USGS’ earthquake Web site includes a feature allowing people to respond if they felt the quake. On Tuesday afternoon, the Web site reported and mapped 417 responses in 35 ZIP codes, including about six from the Chattanooga and tri-state area.
