Lookouts edge Biscuits behind De La Rosa

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Chattanooga Lookouts must win almost every game from here on out and are doing a decent job of that, taking a third straight victory Thursday night, 3-2 over the Montgomery Biscuits.

Chattanooga pitcher Rubby De La Rosa allowed two runs on three hits in seven innings. The Lookouts (24-28) took a 2-0 lead in the second inning when Jaime Pedroza’s two-out double to center field scored Eddy Perez and Corey Smith, and they went up 3-0 in the third inning on a Trayvon Robinson sacrifice fly that scored Dee Gordon.

Montgomery pulled within 3-2 in the fourth on Nevin Ashley’s two-run home run to center. Mario Alvarez and Jon Huber worked the eighth and ninth innings in relief for the Lookouts.

Game three of the five-game series in Montgomery is tonight at 8:05 EDT. Chris Withrow (3-8, 6.08 ERA) is the scheduled starting pitcher for the Lookouts, with Alex Cobb (6-4, 2.63) listed for the Biscuits.
