Police have charged four suspects in connection with a downtown kidnapping.

Christopher Turner, 19, Jeffery McClendon, Jr., 19, Twain Jackson, 20, and a 17-year-old male are scheduled to appear in Hamilton County General Sessions Court on Sept. 7 for charges of aggravated kidnapping, aggravated robbery, conspiracy to commit aggravated kidnapping and conspiracy to commit aggravated robbery, according to a police release.

The 17-year-old’s name is not released because he is a juvenile.

Mychael Chunn, 19, told police that, on Aug. 25 as he left work at Second Avenue and Market Street and walked toward his car, three men rushed him and robbed him. The men then forced him into the trunk of his own vehicle and drove him to several locations, one of which was his Mountain Creek Road home, Chunn said.

After “ransacking” his residence, they then drove to several pawn shops to sell the stolen property. The men then parked Chunn’s car in an alley behind 2204 Bailey Ave., opened the trunk and told him to count to 100 before leaving.
