Firefighters quickly put out a small fire that started in a cabinet on the porch of a business in downtown Chattanooga earlier this evening.
The fire at Genco Corp. on Broad street shut down part of the street for a few minutes to allow the fire trucks easy access, said Bruce Garner, a Chattanooga fire department spokesman.
But the flames were put out before the fire spread inside the building, he said.
A fire inspector was still on the scene at 8 p.m. investigating the cause of the fire, Garner said.
