Northeast Alabama and federal authorities spent the day searching for four people who robbed a bank in Cherokee County.
Three of the four people have been caught, but police are still searching for the fourth person, believed to be off Highway 35 and Pumpkin Center Road in DeKalb County, said DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Stanna Guice.
The suspects robbed the bank before 11 a.m. today and fled from Cherokee authorities into DeKalb, Guice said. They eventually wrecked their vehicle on Highway 35 near New Canaan Church, she said
Sheriff’s offices in both counties, local police, Alabama State Troopers and FBI agents will continue the search until the suspect is found, Guice said.
