Clio Avenue robbers sought

Chattanooga police are looking for five men who burst into a Clio Avenue home Saturday night and tried to rob the occupants.

Pedro Thomas, 47, told police that four Hispanics and one white man came through the front door just before 7:30 p.m., according to a news release. They were wearing masks and blue jackets and the leader held a gun on Thomas while demanding money.

When Thomas didn’t immediately comply, the gunman pulled the trigger but the weapon didn’t fire, the release stated.

Thomas’ wife then entered the room to see what the commotion was, but one of the intruders pushed her away and she ran out of the house to get help.

The intruders ran out of the house, taking Thomas’ vehicle keys and leaving their own. The investigation continues, the release stated.
