University of Tennessee at Chattanooga volleyball coach Lisa Rhodes announced her retirement today.
Rhodes had been UTC’s coach for the last 17 seasons.
She will end her career with 280 wins, three Southern Conference championships and two SoCon coach of the year awards.
“After much thought and deliberation, I am announcing my retirement,” Rhodes said in a statement. “My family has been my biggest supporter throughout my career, and now it is time for me to focus all my energy and time back into my family.”
UTC athletics director Rick Hart said UTC will conduct a national coaching search beginning after the holidays.
“She had a great tenure here,” Hart said. “She will be missed.”
