‘Partnership’ exhibit is creative collaboration

For In-Town Gallery’s January exhibit, artists have worked in pairs to produce single artworks. Their creations will go on display Jan. 2 in a show titled “Partnership.”

For example, Gay Arthur brought her acrylic painting skills to Mary Helen Robert’s copper jewelry. Stained-glass artist Carolyn Insler designed a glass top for Doug Barker’s wooden table, the base of which is in the shape of the Market Street Bridge.

Leslie Dulin’s hand-cut stamp patterns were printed on fabric, which Linda White stitched into her handmade purses. Sheila Fulghum and Gay Arthur collaborated on a clay project, while printmakers Linda Thomas and Jennie Kirkpatrick collaged images onto rice paper. Kirkpatrick also worked with Helen Burton, using her expertise in faux finishes in Burton’s realistic watercolor paintings.

A reception for “Partnership” will be held Jan. 7 from 5 to 8 p.m. The show will continue through Jan. 31.
