The Museum Center at Five Points in Cleveland, Tenn., announces its Stitches-in-Time quilt submission weeks will begin Monday, Jan. 3, and conclude Jan. 15.
Anyone wishing to submit a competition entry should bring their quilt(s) to the center between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday-Friday or 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays.
The exhibit will be held Jan. 27-March 12.
Up to two quilts per person may be submitted. Entrants are asked to have a 4-inch hanging sleeve either sewn or pinned to the back top of their quilt so the piece may be hung. Antique quilts do not need to have a sleeve.
Quilts will be judged in the categories of Best of Show Large Contemporary, Best of Show Small Contemporary, Best of Show Antique, Best Duet (two-person) Quilt, Best Group Quilt, Best Use of Color and Design, and Viewer’s Choice Award.
The museum will not hold a quilt challenge in 2011.
