Signal Mountain firefighters worked a townhouse fire that caused massive damage this morning.
No injuries were reported.
The blaze was reported about 10 a.m., said Hamilton County Emergency Services spokeswoman Amy Maxwell. When firefighters arrived at Jamestowne Town Homes, 802 Signal Mountain Blvd., fire was coming out of the front window of the residence, she said.
Once firefighters confirmed that everyone was out of the home, they stopped the fire from spreading to the adjacent town homes, Ms. Maxwell said.
Walden’s Ridge Emergency Services responded to the scene to assist Signal Mountain Fire Department. Dallas Bay Volunteer Fire Department and Red Bank Fire Department also responded to Signal Mountain to fill in assignments for emergency calls.
“The fire appears to be accidental but will be under investigation by Signal Mountain Fire Department,” said Signal Mountain Fire Chief John Vlasis.
