Authorities have arrested 23 people in Chattanooga following a four-year investigation of meth trafficking across Georgia, Tennessee, North Carolina and Alabama.
Assistant U.S. attorney Steve Neff said the drug ring over the years has sold more than two tons of methamphetamine, most of which was distributed through Marietta, Ga. and surrounding areas.
The defendants in the case, who will make their first appearances here in U.S. District Court on Friday, face up to life in prison if convicted.
