MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – A sign marking the future site of an Islamic center has been vandalized in Murfreesboro.
“Not Welcome” was spray-painted over the weekend on the sign that said “Future Site of Islamic Center of Murfreesboro.”
Abdoulrahman Kattih, vice president of the center, told The Daily News Journal that the facility has had a friendly and supportive relationship with neighbors.
No one has been arrested.
The Islamic group has been in Murfreesboro for a decade.
