Montlake Road is now open to traffic with the removal of a boulder that fell Monday, authorities said.
Hamilton County Highway Department crews have worked around the clock to clear the roadway , said Mike Dunne, spokesman for Hamilton County Mayor Claude Ramsey.
County Highway Department Director Harold Austin said a special hydraulic rock hammer was used to break up the oversized boulder. He thanked the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Department for setting up lights allowing his crews to work overnights to clear the road.
