No injuries reported in Thrasher Pike house fire

A man found out his Thrasher Pike house was burning when a neighbor called to tell him.

Dallas Bay Volunteer firefighters received the call at 10:20 p.m. Sunday and responded to the scene at 1729 Thrasher Pike.

Robert Jenkins, the homeowner, told firefighters he put a load of laundry in the dryer, then went to his parents’ house to watch a movie.

The cause of the fire is still undetermined and will be investigated by the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office.

Dallas Bay fire Chief Marcus Fritts estimated the damage at about $45,000.
