Summer is here and kids are headed to vacation Bible schools all over Hixson. Looks like Cairo, Egypt, this week as you pass Abba’s House as it finishes up its Vacation Bible School. A Galactic Blast, Vacation Bible School will be happening from June 21-25 at Burks United Methodist Church and from June 27-July 1 you could head on down to the Saddle Ridge Ranch at Hixson First Baptist Church. Get your kids signed up and have a wonderful time.
If you cannot get your workout going till late at night, you can go to the Hixson High School track, flip the switch and walk/run the track under the big lights. The lights are on a timer.
The North River Civic Center will be presenting a concert June 18 featuring Dismembered Tennesseeans. The concert is free and starts at 7 p.m.
