CHICAGO – Rod Blagojevich’s hair has made a cameo appearance, so to speak, at his corruption trial.
The ousted governor’s former top aide Alonzo Monk says in one recording played in court Monday that a potential donor’s wife admired Blagojevich’s famously thick head of hair.
Alonzo Monk can be heard saying to Blagojevich, “She loves your hair,” adding, “because it’s all real.”
Some jurors and spectators laughed aloud at the comment.
Blagojevich has pleaded not guilty to scheming to profit from his power to appoint someone to President Barack Obama’s old Senate seat and to plotting to launch a racketeering scheme within the governor’s office.
