Where else could you find pancakes, a tractor show, square dancing and a Barney Fife imitator all in one place?
Perhaps nowhere else than Englewood, Tenn., where the 25th annual Englewood Celebrates festival will be held today through Sunday.
“There’s something different every year,” said Gail Anderson, artistic director of the Englewood Textile Museum.
The three-day event, she said, was begun as part of the state’s Homecoming ’86 and is sponsored by the Community Action Group of Englewood.
The family event kicks off tonight at 7 with Saginaw Star, a youth talent show in the Englewood Elementary School gymnasium featuring singers, musicians and entertainers under age 18. (Saginaw is a nickname for Englewood.)
