Lung disease
The “Better Breathers Club” meeting for those with chronic lung disease and their families will meet at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Silver Life Center of BCBSTN (Golden Gateway). Attendees will have an opportunity for free COPD screenings by Erlanger respiratory therapists. Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease is the nation’s fourth leading cause of death. Everyone welcome.
Vascular screening
Three-In-One Vascular Screening, 7:30-10 a.m. Tuesday at Erlanger Medical Mall, Suite B-601. This screening assesses risk factors for peripheral vascular disease. Includes ultrasound of carotid arteries, abdominal aorta and measurement of ankle-brachial indices (ABIs). Cost is $85. Call 778-5465.
Autism play group
The Parents Advisory Group of the Chattanooga Autism Center is holding its first play group. The goal is to provide time for parents to bring their kids to play and interact with other kids on a regular basis.
