Chattanooga police are working a single vehicle accident on Interstate 75 where the driver was partially ejected.
Officers have the exit to Interstate 75 South from Highway 153 South closed due to an accident that occurred about 11:05 pm. According to witnesses, the single vehicle involved was traveling at a high speed going south on Highway 153 to Interstate 75 south, according to Officer Rebecca Royval.
The driver apparently lost control of the vehicle, hit the guard rail in the curve, causing the vehicle to flip, she said.
The driver was partially ejected and the vehicle landed on him, Officer Royval said. He was unconscious but breathing when he was transported to the hospital by HCEM, she saidS.
