Two people picking up litter near the edge of West Chickamauga Creek in Camp Jordan Park this afternoon found the body of a white male in the water, East Ridge authorities said.
The death is being treated as a homicide, as the cause of death is not known, but investigators do not believe foul play was involved, East Ridge Public Safety spokesman Erik Hopkins said.
The name of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of relatives.
