The art of the late Danny Hoskinson, dubbed The Bucketman because of his unconventional sculptures made of melted plastic buckets, will be featured at the Museum Center at Five Points in Cleveland.
The exhibit, “Beyond the Pail: Bucketman Danny Hoskinson and the Art of Fire and Plastic,” opens Saturday and is composed of more than 80 pieces by the former Benton, Tenn. resident.
“Danny worked with plastic paint buckets as his medium and used a blow torch to mold the plastic into amazing shapes to make sculptures which he then painted,” said Lisa Lutts, director of the museum. “We are fortunate to mount this retrospective of a local outsider artist who was exhibited and collected throughout the East Coast.”
