Consistency was the buzz word among the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga’s offensive players and coaches following the Mocs’ 92-play football scrimmage Saturday afternoon at Finley Stadium.
The offense had a solid outing in the Mocs’ second scrimmage of spring practice. Quarterback B.J. Coleman and the receivers made plays, and the running backs ran better and held on to the ball better than in the scrimmage a week earlier.
“It was a huge jump,” from last week, Coleman said. “I wanted to see a little more consistency in the run game and the pass game, and I think we got that.”
Coleman was 17-for-24 passing for 180 yards, with a 37-yard touchdown pass to Marlon Anthony and an 11-yarder to Joel Bradford, who had seven catches for 46 yards.
