Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office deputies are wrapping up a search at Orchard Knob Middle School after “two or three rounds” of ammunition were found on floor of a classroom, triggering a lockdown, sheriff’s spokeswoman Janice Atkinson said.
Ms. Atkinson said that, due to the incidents at Coolidge Park over the weekend, officials decided to take “a proactive” approach and lock down the school while law enforcement personnel searched.
Several people were arrested Sunday after Saturday night shootings at Coolidge Park.
Ms. Atkinson said officials had information that a male student at Orchard Knob might have a handgun, but no weapon had been found by noon during the search.
