Turnout for election day is so far “extremely low,” according to election officials.
“It’s going smooth, but the turnout is not good,” said Charlotte Mullis-Morgan at midday.
Ms. Mullis-Morgan is the chief deputy of the Hamilton County Election Commission.
She said turnout in the 2006 election was about 15 percent of the approximately 207,000 registered voters in Hamilton County.
Turnout today is only about 13 percent so far, Ms. Mullis-Morgan said.
