What do good schools need?
First, they need good and motivated children, supported by parents who want them to learn.
The kids certainly need good and qualified teachers.
They all need good schools, good classrooms and an atmosphere for learning.
And certainly, good school books are needed for every child, in class and at home, with good care being taken of all of them.
Some Orchard Knob Middle School parents are upset because children reportedly didn’t have sufficient books till April. That’s unfortunate.
We should assure that every schoolchild has the books he or she needs — all through every semester — and uses and takes care of them. It is belatedly reported that the problem has been solved. Everyone should certainly hope so.
We spend a lot of money on our schools because our children are so important. They should have the basic tools with which to work.
