Chattanooga firefighters are on scene at a residential fire on Chamberlain Avenue.
Firefighters on the scene said the fire broke out in the garage, and the homeowner believes the car might have started the blaze.
“I heard a boom and I jumped up out of bed,” said Teresa Smith, who lives in the home.
Neighbors Emerson Burch and Lorraine Tilstra said they called 911 when they saw flames soaring above the house and tree line.
