FRANKLIN, Tenn. – A former security company owner charged in a series of sexual assaults in the Nashville area has been convicted in a fourth case.
A Williamson County jury Friday found Robert Jason Burdick guilty of raping a 16-year-old girl in her home in 1999. He will be sentenced July 13.
In three earlier cases, he was sentenced to 62 years in prison. In one case, the victim bit off a piece of skin that was used to link Burdick to the attack.
He has been charged in at least a dozen sexual attacks in Davidson, Williamson and Wilson counties. They began in 1994, but he managed to elude authorities until his arrest in 2008.
His next trial will be in Wilson County on charges of raping the niece of his former girlfriend.
