The last two weeks in Dade County have been unusually busy. It was Historic High Country Travel Association at the Wilderness Outdoor Movie Theater on May 12 and a lot of fun and preparation and work ahead of the traffic on U.S. 11 Antique Alley on May 13-16.
Then May 19 was Lookout Mountain Parkway Association at Cloudland Canyon Park. Then came more work and fun for State of Dade Heritage Festival on May 21-22.
Guess what? May 23 was mine and Margaret’s 59th wedding anniversary and also 27 years of retirement.
I tell you all this to encourage you to keep your mind active and volunteer all you can.
Now this week is a snap with AARP at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Senior Center in Trenton, then Kiwanis at noon Thursday in Randy’s, the Tri-State Alliance at 11:30 a.m. in the NorthWest Georgia Trade and Convention Center in Dalton, then the Dade County Historical Society at 6 p.m. Saturday, again in Randy’s.
