MURPHY, CHEROKEE COUNTY, NC (WRCB) The body of a missing North Carolina woman has reportedly been found.
Monday night a motorist reported a car on Highway US 19 East of Murphy that appeared to be wrecked.
When Cherokee County officers arrived they noticed the car had hit a tree. They then discovered a body in the vehicle in an advance state of decomposition.
The car was confirmed to be that of Ashley Hansen.
