The Chattanooga Fire Academy will conclude its training exercises this morning with the scheduled burn of a donated house on Hixson Pike. The house will be set on fire around 10:00 this morning with the biggest flames dying down around 10:30.
The fire is expected to engulf the house very quickly and plans are in place to allow it to burn to the ground.
Cadets and training staff will be available for interviews throughout the morning.
The house is located at 6101 Hixson Pike, near the intersection of Cassandra Smith Road. If you are a motorist traveling through the area at the time of the burn you are advised to show extra caution while keeping your eyes on the road.
