JACKSONVILLE, Ala. – The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga football team’s Saturday night game against No. 6 Jacksonville State will start at least an hour late.
About 70 minutes before the scheduled 7 p.m. EST kickoff, lightning struck near JSU Stadium and all the players, who were warming up, and fans were ordered out of the facility.
Once the officials give the “all clear” both teams will have an hour to warm up before kicking off. As of 7:21, the Mocs were still hanging around inside and outside their locker room.
The game is not expected to begin before 8:30.
