Student art design will take the bus

The submission deadline has been extended to Monday for the “Design a Better World” art competition for Hamilton County middle and high school students.

The winning artist’s design will be showcased as a CARTA bus wrap, and the artist will receive a $500 savings bond from CARTA and $500 in art supplies from National Print Group for his or her class.

Hamilton Place is sponsoring the contest, which asks students to imagine how they could make the world a better place, locally or globally, while inspiring others.

An independent panel of judges will review the work and notify the winning student by Sept. 30.

Entries will be displayed Oct. 2-3 on the Comcast Community Stage at the mall.
