A Welsh singer and a British spy could add a little intrigue to a concert by the Southern Stars Symphonic Brass band Sunday in Crossville, Tenn.
The performance is the final presentation of the band’s Crossville Concert Series. The program is “Brass Goes to the British Isles.”
“As the concert theme implies, the group will be playing music from Wales, Ireland, Scotland and England and will feature several of their own musicians in instrumental solos,” according to the band’s website.
As an added bonus, the Tennessee Tech Tuba Ensemble, directed by Winston Morris, will join the band as guest artists. The TTTE was the first ensemble of its kind to release a commercially produced album, and more than 20 have followed. Its credits also include performances at Carnegie Hall and the Kennedy Center.
